Firearms certificate, WBK, carry permit

The firearms certificate is the proof of knowledge. The firearms ownership licence (WBK) permits acquisition and possession. The full firearms carry permit (Waffenschein) permits carrying in public and requires a special demonstrated need. The small carry permit (Kleiner Waffenschein) for blank-firing and irritant weapons does not require a firearms certificate.

After the examination

For sport shooters, proof of demonstrated need follows via the shooting club after twelve months of membership. For those responsible in clubs, we also offer range supervisor training under §27 WaffG.
